Her eyes narrow, nearly sporting a glare in his direction. "I'm being dramatic? Are you serious?" Erika really didn't understand him sometimes, this being one of the bigger moments. It isn't as if they'd been together that long, but it was weird that them seeing each other didn't involve much outside of them at one of their places. "I really don't think I'm exaggerating at all," she argues. "But you're acting like me asking you to meet them is akin with me proposing or something. It feels like you're making it into a bigger deal than it is." She crossed her arms over her chest, frowning and wondering if she's somehow in the wrong for all of this.

❝ you are unnecessarily being dramatic, right now ❞ he rolled his eyes and exhales out of frustration. it's very typical of him not have the desire to meet anyone from his life. to his point, why should he care about those people when he's only in relationship with her. for him, it's a waste of time. he doesn't have any interest to know her family. he will be more than okay not to meet anyone in her life. ❝ you think i don't like you because i refuse to meet your friends? isn't that a little exaggerated ? i don't want to meet them because it's a waste of time. i will not hang out with them. i'm not going to grab drinks with them. they are your friends for a reason. not ours, yours. ❞ plus, the more people in her life knows him, the smaller his world would be, the less he'd be able to play around.

She brought her bottom lip between her teeth, trying not to frown. "But I already promised my friends they'd get to meet you." Tried not to point out that they'd already cancelled on them twice before. "What if we go for just a little bit? We won't have to stay long if you really hate it that much."

Erika held in her sigh once more. "You know, typically, people dating do end up meeting each other's friends. It's not that unheard of. Not unless someone's hiding something." Is it an accusation at him? A little. But she isn't sure what legs this whole 'relationship' stands on if they only see each other under his circumstances. "I mean, what is this exactly? Half the time I can't even tell if you like me or not..."

❝ exactly my point. i'm dating their friend, not them. will we suddenly stop dating if i don't meet them ? i mean, i have not once asked you to meet my friend ❞ a point he probably should not be proud of. since dating, they always lived a separate lives outside of their relationship.

She's not sure how to respond to that. It seems like a ridiculous compromise, but she doesn't exactly want to say that. "Um, probably because you're dating their friend?"

❝ can't we face time them instead ? i don't know ❞ he rolls over , not wanting to move from his spot . ❝ i don't really like your friends if i'm being honest . why do they want to meet me ? ❞
